Timo Rodinger is a composer and music producer from Vienna, Austria.

He writes music with a focus on eastern and fantasy elements with a passion for storytelling through sounds. He especially loves to incorporate influences from the folk and classical music of China and Japan into his work.

My work for the main theme of the first beat driven metrovania like Jump and Run. "Channeling the atmosphere of classic shows such as Samurai Jack and Samurai Champloo while mixing in gameplay from greats such as Super Metroid and Hollow Knight, Lo-Fi Samurai is an atmospheric 2D metroidvania where you live and die to the beat of the music. Lo-fi Samurai has both, style and substance."

I got the chance to contribute the orchestral elements for the cover of the song "Helvegen" by the celtic rock band "Celtica Nova". The song was amazing as is, but we wanted to add even more epic feeling to it by adding big drums, soaring strings and a choir in the background.

I draw a lot of my inspiration from a wide range of musical traditions, including traditional Eastern and World Music, to create a memorable soundscape that resonates and stays with the listeners.

Biography

The Vienna based composer and multigenre producer has been honing his production and writing skills in the past decade. Coming from a classical musical background he quickly picked up the habit of not being tied to one genre and has multiple projects running under different aliases.

Having accumulated over 50 Million Streams in the past few years on Spotify, Youtube, Apple Music etc., Timo now focuses his attention on collaborating with visual storytellers from Games, Film and TV around the world.

Timo draws a lot of his inspiration from eastern cultures. Practicing Judo for nearly 20 years of his life and traveling to many eastern countries, he found himself fascinated by the people, culture and music of the far east. This lead to more interest into ethnical music styles in general. Major influences on his musical style spanning over genres are amongst others Joe Hisaishi, Ludovico Einaudi, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Satoshi Takebe, Ilan Eshkeri, Kenichiro Nishihara, Uyama Hiroto, Nujabes, Tom Mish, FKJ, Billy Talent, Rise Against, Linkin Park, System of a Down and many many more.
